We had just arrived from Iowa the day before. My husband's leg was swelling, so we went to the urgent care. They referred us to Banner Gateway ER. He was admitted to have a blood clot removed and to have treatment.

We were sent to our room on the second floor. Guay was our nurse. She was an angel. She was great, very professional and compassionate. She was friendly and knowledgeable. When situations were very embarrassing, she made it feel normal or at least okay. When we had questions, she would take the time to answer them.

She would even take the time to laugh with us, and when the diagnosis of a tumor and cancer came, she was there to help us with the emotions. She was able to help my husband with thoughts he did not want me to know. We were very blessed to have Guay as our nurse for those days. We sing the praises of being so lucky to find Banner Gateway, but especially to have had Guay as our nurse.
