I know she was busy with other patients, but she always was very kind to me and checked on me to see if I needed anything.
Gloria Taylor from the start made me feel better about the draw for blood. Instead of being poked every time, she could draw it through the IV. I am terrified of needles. I don’t like when my anxiety kicks in and I scream in pain (I have deep rolling veins and inform them that an ultrasound is the only way to poke me). I know she was busy with other patients, but she always was very kind to me and checked on me to see if I needed anything. This meant a lot to me as I live alone, and I dealt with my last four heart attacks on my own. I have no living family or friends and I have mental health problems. I see a therapist, but she can’t fill in as a support system. I’m a veteran, who served in Iraq for three years. When I got out, I lost my mom and my 16-year-old sister to cancer, thus leaving me alone. I wish I had some support and Gloria’s kindness meant a lot to me.
