She goes to the various wards to work along with the staff and has in place a motivation, recognition, or award plan laid down for any member of the nursing staff who exhibits outstanding compassionate care.
I was struck by Nurse Glady’s excellent sense of communication, calm demeanor, kindness, and reassuring presence. I immediately knew I had come across an exceptional nurse.

Her relationship skills captured a huge space in my mind for a long while.

I realised she had a good mentoring system in place, her supervisory abilities are rare, and she is a good team player, and this is evidenced in discussions with the management members as well as her staff.  She goes to the various wards to work along with the staff and has in place a motivation, recognition, or award plan laid down for any member of the nursing staff who exhibits outstanding compassionate care.

On my rounds, I realized that every nurse was well-dressed, neat, polite, confident, receptive, and engaged, and I learned it's all because of her training, influence, and impact.

According to one of her staff. “Aunt Gladys always emphasized the need for nurses and midwives to place patient interest first, give a smile, and offer care from a heart of compassion. Hence, we have given her a nickname, 'Compa.'"

Her facility, and particularly the nursing division, works by adhering to well-established Values and Vision. This has been displayed in every ward. She focuses on continuously building the leadership skills of her junior staff and has a formal succession plan.

Her strong sense and desire for excellence during care among her staff have made her refuse to relent in maintaining standards and ethics of nursing at the Ejisu hospital in the Ashanti region of Ghana. She has set up a monitoring and supervisory team within the facility.

Her level of emotional intelligence displayed in problem-solving has made the Medical Superintendent always send any nurse/midwife to her for correction because he knows she's best at offering solutions whilst maintaining confidentiality. The cordiality that exists between her and the nurses and midwives, as well as management members and other staff, is remarkable.

With her exceptional teamwork and excellent leadership qualities, the hospital management has named a walkway in the facility after her to acknowledge her tremendous contributions towards the achievement of their strategic plans.

This nomination is done as a way of recognising her excellent work and leadership skills.
