I would like to recognize Giovanni for his extraordinary compassion during a difficult trauma case. I found myself deeply focused on the loss after the patient's passing.

He provided excellent care to the patient during this critical time, but he also turned to me, focusing on me as a colleague and a person. He reminded me of my well-being, despite my trying to refocus on the patient. He exemplifies what it means to be a healer, not just for patients, but for team members who carry the weight of these experiences.

He demonstrates extraordinary compassion, resilience, and unwavering support. I know it took a toll on him, too.
