Gina was the most positive, reassuring, and responsive individual of anyone I interacted with during my whole time in and after discharge.
I was admitted to Riverside Hospital with intestinal impaction caused by a tumor.  This was my second hospital stay in 3 months.  I had lots of pain, literally couldn't eat for 10 days and had an endoscopy and then a laporostomy to remove the tumor.  I probably interacted with 20-30 medical professionals during this time.  They come and go quickly, and often I would come up with questions after they were gone.  When you are at less than 100%, the whole process can be overwhelming.  I had a lot of questions about my medication, what activities I could do post-surgery, and how to effectively recover at the right pace.

Gina followed up with me on behalf of Dr. W, checking in to see if I had any questions or concerns.  Gina was the most positive, reassuring, and responsive individual of anyone I interacted with during my whole time in and after discharge.  She never rushed me, followed up immediately on issues, ran things past her medical team for additional input, and just seemed like a guardian angel.  Frankly when I was exhausted and perhaps feeling overwhelmed she was a such a positive and encouraging resource.

I had a post-surgical episode and was getting ready to go to the ER, left a message at their office at 7 am and Gina called me at 7:30 (their posted open time is at 8) talked through what I was experiencing and said before going to the ER give her 30 minutes to consult with the team, and she called me back, talked me off the cliff, suggested some stronger meds and suggested I stay at home for the day unless my conditioned worsened and then call back and by 8 pm I was over the worst of it and getting better.  Availability, professionalism, attitude, et all.  She is a tremendous person and medical practitioner.
