Gina Carman was nominated by her leader for going above and beyond the call of duty. While checking on the health status of a patient, Gina uncovered significant food insecurity that was impacting the patient's health and well-being. The patient did not have any food at home.

Gina immediately recognized this as a priority and shifted gears from healthcare to basic needs. She was able to obtain immediate food relief that day, get the food to the patient, and connect them with ongoing resources. Gina "saw her patient" and responded in an extraordinary manner.
