We were in the PICU with our 7 week old daughter. To say it was a terrifying experience is an understatement. Gianna went above and beyond to reassure us and put us at ease. When faced with difficult decisions/information, she was amazing and supportive. Our stay has been very stressful as she is so young, but having this nurse helped in ways unexplainable.

Seeing your infant facing intubation is something I’d never want anyone to experience. However, I wish everyone could experience having a nurse like her. Our family will never forget the kindness, love, and concern she showed us. Being a recently post-partum mom, emotions are high, and she showed great compassion to my husband and me. She worked extremely hard to make sure our daughter had the best care possible for the 5+ days we were in the PICU.

We truly felt safer and more comfortable knowing she was our nurse. Knowing she was looking after our daughter is the only reason we were able to even take a quick nap in the room or get any rest at all, because we knew she was in good hands that would take care of her the way we would.
