I nominate George for the DAISY Award because he truly exemplifies compassionate, exceptional nursing care. George was incredibly thorough and took the time to explain every medication, every lab that was drawn, and what each result meant. He ensured I understood what was happening throughout my care and never made me feel rushed or like I was just another patient. His attention to detail gave me confidence and helped me feel safe when I needed reassurance most.

What stood out even more was George's genuine compassion. His kindness, reassurance, and caring nature went far beyond his clinical responsibilities. He treated me as a person, not just a patient. He also took the time to reassure my family as they were leaving, letting them know I was in great hands. That simple gesture comforted all of us and meant more than he will ever know. If George has ever wondered whether he has made a difference in someone's life, I hope he knows the answer is yes. He made a lasting impact on my experience, and I will always remember the extraordinary care, kindness, and compassion he showed me.
