I am writing to tell you how much we appreciated a particular nurse during our stay. George Barnette, who works on the CVA unit, was so wonderful to us. He helped my fiancé and me feel comfortable by taking the time to talk with us and explain things to us about his care. If we had questions, George would take the time to find the answer. His demeanor is gentle, patient, and kind. On the weekends when he didn’t have therapy, he would walk H around the unit to ensure he kept up his strength. On a weekend when George didn’t happen to be H’s nurse, he still made time to walk him. We greatly appreciate him going out of his way to be so kind. George treated H and me like we were family. On the day H was discharged, George even walked him to the car to see him off. Due to the wonderful care George provided, H continues to do well. We just wanted to express our appreciation to George for going above and beyond what we expect from a nurse. He made our stay at Cardinal Hill much more pleasant.
