Francis went above and beyond for a patient and their family in the ICU. She helped to facilitate a small, intimate wedding ceremony in your family room. She helped coordinate with our Chaplain and was able to bring the patient out to the family waiting area to have the ceremony. She proceeded to stay with the patient to keep their alarms silenced and ensure the patient was okay while she got to watch her granddaughter get married. This was so special to the family, as the granddaughter was not planning to get married until November and the patient was potentially not going to be able to live until November due to a risky procedure planned for the upcoming week.

The patient and family seemed so grateful for this opportunity and they were so incredibly emotional, it was very sweet. This is one reason why we do what we do, to help patients and families to be able to have moments like these! Francis we are so grateful for your care and compassion!
