Francesca was truly a blessing during my time at the hospital. From the first moment I met her, she treated me with a level of care, patience, and warmth that stayed consistent every single day — even at the end of her shift.

There were many days when I saw other nurses or PCAs visibly exhausted and even frustrated by the end of their long shifts, which is understandable. But Francesca was different. Even after working 11 or 12 hours straight, she still had a warm smile and spoke with the same kindness and calm as she did at the start of the day. She never let her fatigue show in a way that would affect her patients. On the contrary, she made sure we never felt like a burden or like we were adding to her exhaustion. That’s rare, and it made a world of difference to me and to the atmosphere of the unit.

There were times I was in pain or mentally exhausted, but Francesca’s presence gave me strength. Her voice, her energy, and her attitude reminded me of what it means to give your best even when you’re tired — to stay kind and compassionate no matter what. She didn’t just help me physically; she inspired me emotionally and mentally, too. Through her actions, she reminded me to keep a good heart even when life is heavy.

I’ve always believed that a better worker is a better person — and Francesca is the perfect example of that. She didn’t just do her job. She did it with pride, empathy, and consistency, caring for every patient with a spirit rarely found. She changed my experience in the hospital, and I know she’ll continue to do that for many others.

Francesca deserves to be recognized not just for how well she performs as a nurse, but for the kind of person she is: compassionate, steady, and deeply human. I feel fortunate to have been in her care.
