Faustina is one of our head nurses on the ground at Dame Irene Okwuosa Memorial Hospital in Oraifite, Nigeria. She started as a local nurse, volunteering. She received training from the traveling VOOM mission medical personnel and now leads her own teams of nurses in Nigeria.

As a volunteer, Faustina created a unique following of volunteer nurses for the VOOM Foundation. Due to economic conditions in Nigeria, professionals are unlikely to volunteer without pay, yet Faustina recognized the VOOM volunteers' efforts and dedication to the VOOM mission and declined to be compensated as a volunteer.

Since then, Faustina has been employed at Dame Irene Okwuosa Memorial Hospital, and she continues to recruit volunteer nurses for training and the love of helping others. Faustina is a figurehead for the VOOM mission - the value in educating others and the impact we can make together.
