With her wonderful smile that brightens up the world and her aura that gleams bright colors as she walks in the door, Ms Evalyn Votava is the definition of a true nurse. I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Evalyn. I was transferred from my floor onto hers to sit with one of her patients; however, I did not know I’d meet such an amazing soul! Starting the day off with introducing herself, she made not just the patient but me as well feel so informed and welcomed in her presence! Her kindness walks miles, and her empathy builds bridges. She puts herself into her patients’ shoes and shows them that they are not alone in the tough journey! She cares so deeply for everyone around her. Ms Evalyn told me the story of how she got into this job and, like every other nurse, how she struggles in this world.
