She was an angel for my husband and me when we had our son. He is our first and had to be in the NICU for some time. She provided empathy and reassurance to us when we were scared and needed it most. She took the time to teach us ways to care for our son and still get those “firsts” that most first-time parents get when their baby rooms with them. She was friendly and caring to not only my husband and me, but also to our son. Throughout our NICU stay, she made it easier to leave our son at night, feeling like he was safe and well cared for. She never hesitated to take the time to explain, show, or just listen to us when we had questions or fears. I truly believe that I would not have been able to get through this experience as well as I did without her. For that, I will forever be grateful.
