August 2026 Honoree
Erin Ainscough, RN
I would like to nominate Erin Ainscough for her exceptional care of me during my post-hospitalization and my current illness over the past few weeks. Erin showed up on my doorstep at the exact moment promised and at a time when I was within minutes of potentially seeking care at the ER on the day of discharge from my hospital stay. We needed help with infusion therapy without any on-site assistance from the infusion therapy company and had no expertise or confidence that we could begin treatment into my central line. Unbeknownst to us, Erin was there to conduct that treatment and did so flawlessly, offering great relief to my wife and me. But beyond that, she continued to evaluate my condition and offer constructive advice and care in ways that truly impressed us.
Because my illness is very uncommon, she had familiarized herself with it thoroughly to better provide her services and offer customized care. That alone showed us her initiative and responsibility in handling what she might encounter. As Erin made further visits, her training, advice, and skills enabled sufficient self-care that we avoided the high potential for missed infusion doses, negative outcomes, and a recurrent hospital stay. Additionally, she has orchestrated a complex delivery of care by others for my illness that has allowed us to get the right treatments at the right times and, more importantly, for me to begin recovery. All the things that community-based care should be were exhibited in Erin’s knowledge, skills, expertise, empathy, and dependability. We couldn’t have asked for better skilled home health care delivery because of our experience with Erin. Riverside is truly enhanced in its ability to deliver high-quality care beyond the hospital walls because of Erin Ainscough. Thank you for sending her to care for us.

Thank you, Erin, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
