Erikka Wolfe, LPN

We recently had a situation in our clinic where Erikka went above and beyond. A patient presented for an appointment who was clearly having a diabetic episode. Erikka recognized this and immediately sprang into action. She gathered supplies from the emergency box to raise his blood sugar, called EMS to transport him to the ED, spoke with the patient's wife by phone, and explained everything to keep her as calm as possible, all while providing excellent care and comforting him every step of the way. She communicated effectively and efficiently with her coworkers to keep the situation running as smoothly as possible. The patient was not local and had been in town that morning to do his family's monthly grocery shopping before his appointment. He was concerned about the frozen foods, meats, cheeses, etc. in his vehicle that would likely spoil while he was in the ED. Erikka assured him she would take care of everything. She retrieved these items from the patient's vehicle and stored them in the clinic refrigerator/freezer until family members could pick them up later that day. The relief and reassurance this offered the patient and his wife is immeasurable. They were so appreciative of her extra efforts, and we are so thankful to call Erikka one of our own. As her fellow caregivers, we are proud of her, and she truly embodies the Mosaic brand. Erikka embodies what you expect from a DAISY Award Nurse. Thank you, Erikka!
