Some moments in life become memories we cannot forget. For me, it will always be knowing that you sang Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" to my husband on your night shift in the quiet hours when so much felt uncertain; you gave him something medicine alone could not - your voice, your compassion, and your heart. Whether he heard every note or felt your presence, I truly believe your kindness touched him. The song sings about love that endures, hope that remains, and a heart that stays together even through life's most difficult journeys. You reminded me that nursing is about so much more than treatments and procedures. It is about seeing the person behind the patient and honoring them with dignity, tenderness, and grace. Thank you for caring for him as though he mattered deeply - because he did. Your thoughtfulness will forever hold a special place in my heart. Long after the hospital stay, I will remember your extraordinary act of kindness and the comfort it brought to me and my entire family! Thank you for being a light during one of the darkest nights of our lives. Your compassion will stay with me always and every year on the anniversary of his death I am going to play your song!
