Specifically, I remember the names of a select few who stood out the most to our group. It's not a competition, but I have to say nurse Emme was a literal angel. The way she got to know K through the rest of us, matched our vibe, and visibly cared was humbling to say the least. She went above and beyond as well for J. He is a pretty stoic dude, but internally this was havoc on his heart and mind. Emme tapped into that knowledge, kindly reassured him, broke down information, and took time to talk to him every single shift. She single-handedly not only helped save his wife but also saved him from his own anxiety and fear, and kept calm and positive, and never did it in a toxic positivity way. I cannot tell you enough how pretty much everyone in our group looked forward to seeing her when we visited, and it was one of her shifts! She has a magic touch, and I genuinely hope karma is rewarding her handsomely for all of her kindness and good nature she gave.
