I would like to nominate Emma for the DAISY Award. She has been going above and beyond during my entire stay. She checks in more frequently than her schedule allows and is very consistent. My roommate needed some extra concessions due to the illness she was suffering from. Her bedside manner is what one would expect from a paid nurse in your home. She treats every patient with such care and concern, yet still finds time to do her job. Her face always has a smile, and no concern is too small or too large. I watched her help my roommate through a not‑so‑dignified procedure with the most cheerful attitude, and she made my roommate feel at ease, as if this were something done every day. She took the time to chat and remembered what had been discussed. If you asked for a favor, it was completed quickly. She truly stood out as a nurse, and I would gladly have her as my nurse anytime. She is by far one of your biggest assets here at Mercy. All of your nurses are well-trained and well-mannered, but she stands out as exemplary.
