I had Emily for three to four days in a row, and I was so happy to hear she was going to be my nurse because she strives to make you, as the patient, feel like you are her only patient. She is compassionate and willing to listen to her patients. She is knowledgeable and does her best to meet her patients' needs. Emily is a fairly new nurse, but from what I've seen, her actions come across as if she is seasoned in her profession. There is no better feeling than knowing that there are new nurses entering this field with self-confidence, compassion, and love for patients.

Emily is an exceptional example of what nursing is all about.

My grandfather was recently hospitalized after a fall, as he was life-flighted from his rural hospital to Saint Luke’s. I want to thank Emily for her bedside manner and compassion. My family lives two hours away from the Plaza, and we were rotating, taking turns to be with our grandfather. Emily knew my grandfather didn’t have his hearing aids, so it was hard for him to order, but she ensured he was eating properly and checking on him constantly. Her compassion is unmatched.

We are so thankful for the excellent care we received and Emily’s kindness, who has touched my grandfather in a healing way.
