Her heart brings peace to ours, and we are profoundly grateful for the care she provides.
Emily is truly extraordinary.
My father has been receiving treatment for Multiple Myeloma at the GA Cancer Specialists location in Johns Creek for the past year. From the very first day she cared for him, she made an immediate and lasting impact on our family.
Although I live in Connecticut and was not able to meet Emily right away, I consistently heard about “sweet Emily” — how gentle she was when administering his injections, how she made the process painless, and how she took the time to sit with him, speak with him, and ensure he felt seen and cared for. In a time of uncertainty and fear, her presence brought comfort not only to my father but also to my sister and me from miles away.
When I finally met her, I understood completely. Emily is kind, thoughtful, exceptionally skilled, and deeply compassionate. She does not simply perform a task — she provides reassurance, dignity, and calm during moments that could easily feel overwhelming.
Recently, our family experienced another devastating loss when my stepmother, the love of my dad's life, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. The first visit to the Cancer Center without her was incredibly difficult, as my stepmom used to go with my dad for every injection. As we turned the corner and saw Emily, everything shifted. She embraced my father, allowed him space to grieve, and with her steady, gentle manner, helped him find strength in that moment. It was more than clinical care; it really was humanity at its best.
Emily embodies what healthcare should be. She is technically excellent, emotionally intelligent, and genuinely invested in the well-being of her patients. Her heart brings peace to ours, and we are profoundly grateful for the care she provides.
There should be more Emilys in this world.
