I came into this hospital ready to become a mom, but unaware of all of the challenges ahead of me. After having an emergency C-Section, feeling lost and unsure of so much around me, Emily went above and beyond in my care, both mentally and physically. Not only did she take the time to make sure everything we did was at a pace I could handle, but Emily consistently made sure she respected my boundaries. Emily also showed a great amount of patience and a deep love for her job.

Emily cares with her entire heart, in every intensive and professional manner. Emily went out of her way to address various pains I was in, as well as taking her time to explain things to me. In such a fast-paced environment, having someone like Emily who takes time to make sure you understand everything going on is a Godsend.

I gave birth with no personal family or friends, and I just want to say how much I appreciated Emily's face in the crowd of people who oversaw my care, and knowing that she was there, it wasn’t a question in my head that my needs would be met.

I believe Emily needs to be recognized for everything I stated above, but also the vote of confidence she gave me. I was unsure of myself and my ability to breastfeed, but she, with her amazing knowledge and comprehensive skill eased my nervousness.

Emily taught me a lot, took amazing care of me, and made this birth something I can remember with confidence. I believe this hospital is extremely lucky to have Emily, as was I.
