Her example reinforced the kind of nurse I aspire to become – skilled, composed, and trusted by both patients and colleagues.
My Winter Capstone experience on Milne 1 with Emily Clifford was invaluable. I appreciate her willingness to teach and her patience. From my very first shift at Gaylord, it was clear that Emily was a trusted and dependable resource for her team, always willing to help others regardless of her role as floor nurse, charge nurse, or supervisor. Her ability to multitask and prioritize patient care is exceptional. I am particularly impressed by how organized and efficient she remains while managing various responsibilities. Emily demonstrates strong professional integrity by consistently following through on her commitments to patients and colleagues. Her example reinforced the kind of nurse I aspire to become – skilled, composed, and trusted by both patients and colleagues. Emily’s colleagues consistently describe her as a nurse who exemplifies excellence in both practice and compassion. She is deeply committed to patient-centered care and continually strives to improve the quality and safety of the care she provides.
Emily is highly engaged in Nursing Shared Governance, where her voice, leadership, and collaboration help shape positive change for patients and staff alike. She is dependable, accountable, and always willing to go the extra mile to support her team. In addition to her Milne 1 nursing role, Emily serves as a per diem clinical educator and nursing supervisor, further extending her impact through mentorship, education, and leadership. Emily’s dedication, professionalism, and genuine care reflect the very spirit of the DAISY Award, and she is truly deserving of this recognition.
