My sister, my friend, and I sat in our prep room nervously talking about my upcoming surgery. The door opened, and in came sunshine - Lilly, with her smile and calming voice. We visited for a little while, and she relaxed us. When she explained what she would be doing, it didn't seem so bad or scary as she explained. I am a "hard stick". She used the vein finder and spent several minutes just studying my arm. Yeah!! 2nd stick was successful!! Took 11 sticks for the previous surgery. All the time she was talking to keep my mind busy. I went to surgery more relaxed than in any of the previous 22 surgeries. Lily made the experience a good one. Thank her! and give her a big hug!
