Over the past two months, I have had three surgeries at Central DuPage Hospital. I have returned to Marianjoy after the last two surgeries.

The first time I was in Marianjoy, Emerson was one of my first nurses. Emerson was kind and professional. He always explained my medications to me and would walk me through my daily schedule. He always took good care of me and showed deep concern when things weren't going well.

On a Monday morning, the pain in my hip became intense. Emerson's concern for me truly showed. He would try to comfort me and figure out what was wrong. It turned out that I had dislocated my hip. After undergoing another surgery, four days later, I returned to Marianjoy. Emerson was the first person I saw when I returned. He gave me a genuine smile and welcomed me back.

As I spent the next two weeks at Marianjoy, Emerson encouraged and checked on me daily. He used his nursing talents to complete all his tasks very efficiently. He would always have time for a smile and ask how things are going. Emerson is a very talented and caring man. Marianjoy is lucky to have him in this outstanding facility.

 I needed to be able to go to the toilet frequently and fast. Emerson was always there and was very pleasant. His attitude was great. When my feet needed bandages, Emerson wrapped them with care. He was a very pleasant and kind nurse. He made me feel like I was being taken care of at home.
