Elysse helped the patient save the lives of others. We should be so proud of all her hard work.
Elysse went above and beyond in her role as the bedside RN for our critical ICU patient. Elysse was compassionate and understanding with the family. Elysse worked with multiple physicians and departments to coordinate the plan of care. There were no questions left unanswered. Elysse provided the family with the heart rhythm so they could remember their daughter after she passed.
Elysse was present after Donor Network initiated its processes. Elysse is the first nurse to go through this process at Banner Casa Grande in many years. We should be so proud of how efficient Elysse made this whole process. This nomination is for an extraordinary nurse, and Elysse has proven to be one. Elysse is one of the newer nurses on our unit and has proven to be such an asset to our team. To be able to work with a donor patient, learn new processes, and be at the bedside with the family was no easy task. The patient quickly became a 1:1, and Elysse was quick to jump in and be the lead in a once-in-a-lifetime Donor Network case. The patient was quickly declining, and Elysse kept up with the demands of the Donor Network team to help keep the patient alive long enough for the oncoming team to take over. Elysse helped the patient save the lives of others. We should be so proud of all her hard work.
