Elnur provided extraordinary care during my first day following surgery. She was incredibly responsive to every need, down to water with or without ice, which was delivered with a smile and quickly. She would walk by the room and notice some urine in my bottle, and immediately take care of it. It was as if I were her only patient. My daughter was able to easily find her whenever a nurse was needed. She came in a few minutes before her shift ended to say good-bye and tell me that the new nurse for the night was very good. Elnur was the charge nurse on the day I was discharged. I had been moved to a new room. I was thrilled that she came by to say hi and ask me how I was doing. Elnur said that she loved working with the veterans and that many had no one to visit them. No doubt she gave them a ray of hope. She indicated that of all the places she worked as a nurse, this was by far her favorite. I truly believe she loves her job and she came to the patients with great nursing skills, knowledge, and heart. My two sons, daughter, and wife were all equally impressed with her and commented how grateful they were for the care she provided me. Of the several nurses I experienced over the four days I was there, none came close to impressing me or providing the skillful care and compassion that I received from Elnur.
