Her honesty made me respect her even more. It was painless, and her talking me through the process also helped.
Ellie made such a positive impact on my and my husband’s hospital experience. Unfortunately, I had a Caesarian section; I was extremely sore, tired, and dependent on nurse assistance at times. She was reassuring and continued to praise my progress. Although I didn’t feel like I was making huge strides moving around, her statements impacted me. Every time she left the room, I felt more encouraged. She was very kind to my family throughout her shift. I was having some trouble breastfeeding and feeling discouraged. She quickly assisted and reassured me that I was doing a great job. Again, the positive statements gave me so much encouragement. I was very nervous about getting my catheter removed and asked her about pain. I appreciate that she was honest with me. She explained she has never had one, so she couldn’t provide me with personal experience. However, she did tell me that mothers have said it wasn’t as bad as they expected. She also stated they come out quickly. Her honesty made me respect her even more. It was painless, and her talking me through the process also helped. I will say the next night, we were a little sad she wasn’t our nurse because she was amazing!

Came in to deliver my first child, having no clue what to really expect during or after all nurses listed above, and even other staff not listed above and beyond to be nice, kind, caring, and explaining everything I needed to know. The nurses listed above not only showed me exactly how to nurse my baby, but also calmed me down in situations that I didn’t know were normal for a newborn. They made me feel heard and important.

After delivery, I had some complications with my blood pressure dropping very low anytime I tried to move. This happened five times, and with the last time, I passed out. The nurses I have nominated were crucial in my recovery. These nurses were by my side the whole time, helping and ensuring my recovery went smoothly. These nurses also provided important information and tips for a brand-new mother. Their kindness and care will never be forgotten.
