I want to express my sincere gratitude to Ellen for the exemplary care she provided to my four-year-old grandson in the Bettendorf ED. Despite being a nurse myself, I felt helpless and ill-prepared as my son and daughter-in-law were out of town, and this was his first injury while under my care. He was recently adopted by my son and daughter-in-law, which makes me even more anxious. Ellen could not have been any more kind, caring, patient, and thoughtful to my grandson and to me. She exemplifies what it means to be a MercyOne Genesis professional RN and deserves the DAISY Award.
