She walked over to my daughter, listened to her, explained what she asked about, and then asked if she had answered her question well enough for her.
| Liz was fantastic when my husband was admitted from the ER. We had been waiting 24 hours to be admitted, and she only had 20 minutes left of her shift, but she didn't rush us. She was informative, friendly, & a ray of joy! When she was done giving my husband (the patient) his admission information, she turned to me and our girls (10 & 11 years old) and asked if WE had any questions. Our 10-year-old asked her a question about something she was seeing out the room window. Liz didn't blow her off or act annoyed at all! (I was annoyed with her because I knew she had to be busy.) She walked over to my daughter, listened to her, explained what she asked about, and then asked if she had answered her question well enough for her. She was also my husband's nurse the next day. He said she was the FIRST nurse to ever ask him to verbally confirm his discharge instructions before letting him leave. We both have parents in the medical field, and both work in the medical field. We were not only given excellent care by Liz, but she always came in with a genuine smile! We won't forget her and the care given. |
