Elizabeth Kuhn, BSN, RN

I have not received medical care from Elizabeth Kuhn, but as a floor nurse on nights who frequently works side by side with Elizabeth, I would like to acknowledge that she is an essential colleague to our unit. The care that she provides to the veterans is not only thorough but also individualized to each veteran with care and compassion. Elizabeth is proactive and vigilant throughout the night to ensure optimal care is delivered to the veterans. Always attentive, professional, and pleasant, even during difficult or busy shifts/nights. The comfort of knowing that she is working on duty brings relief at the beginning of the shift, knowing that no matter what comes about throughout the next 12 hours, the team will be able to handle it with the reinforcement of her persistent acts of helping others.

There have been countless times in the past 3 years that I have recognized that Elizabeth approaches each Veteran as an individual and not solely as 'just a patient'. Not only is she caring and knowledgeable, but if there is ever a question or concern she may be unsure about, she does not hesitate to reach out to her resources, even to help advocate for a veteran. All of this comes naturally to her. She is, hands down, a great example of a DAISY Award Honoree.
