Elizabeth Klem, LPN

Elizabeth received an odd voicemail message. A person stated his name, slurred speech, and hung up. She looked him up, found his phone number, and called him back. He seemed disoriented. She called 911 for a well check. Police found him and called EMS. He was taken to the ER and was diagnosed with a stroke. All of this was done for him when he was not a patient and not established with our hospital. All she had was his name and phone number. It would have been easy to ignore his voicemail since he was not "our patient", but she went above and beyond to care for others. She saved his life.
