I truly believe that Elizabeth Hernandez saved my wife's life that day.
On June 17, 2025, my wife was rushed to the emergency room in full anaphylactic shock following a reaction to contrast dye administered during an MRI. The emergency room nurses did an outstanding job, but one nurse in particular, Elizabeth Hernandez, stood out in an extraordinary way. Elizabeth was by my wife's side from the very beginning and worked with tireless dedication throughout the ordeal.

My wife's blood pressure and body temperature had dropped to dangerously low levels Elizabeth acted swiftly and decisively when she was unable to get a temperature reading because her temperature was too was so low she immediately began efforts to warm my wife first with multiple blankets and then by using a hot air blanket thanks to her persistence and skill my wife's body temperature finally began to rise. Throughout the emergency, Elizabeth monitored my wife's vital signs closely, continuously adjusting fluids and offering reassurance that she would be okay. Her calm and confident presence gave comfort not only to my wife but also to me during one of the most terrifying experiences of our lives.

As a veteran who served 2 tours in Vietnam, I've faced stressful situations, but nothing prepared me for the fear I felt that day, and Elizabeth recognized my anxiety and took the time to reassure me, calmly explaining what was happening and letting me know my wife was in good hands. Her compassion and professionalism were nothing short of lifesaving. I truly believe that Elizabeth Hernandez saved my wife's life that day. Her care and extraordinary commitment exemplify what nursing is all about. With profound gratitude and thanks.
