She met every question with patience, every fear with reassurance, and every confusing moment with clarity.
I would like to extend my deepest gratitude and heartfelt commendation to Lizzy, who served as my nurse navigator during one of the most challenging times of my life, both of my cancer diagnoses. I was originally diagnosed in 2023 and then diagnosed with a recurrence in April of this year. From the very first moment we met, Lizzy became more than just a nurse to me. She was a guide, an advocate, and a source of calm in the storm. She met every question with patience, every fear with reassurance, and every confusing moment with clarity. Her compassion was not just felt — it made a difference in every step of my care. What stood out most was how she never treated me like just another patient. She saw me as a person with fears, hopes, and a need to understand what was happening. Her ability to break down complex medical information, schedule appointments, coordinate care, and simply check in on how I was doing made an overwhelming process feel manageable — even hopeful. Lizzy was the steady voice in the whirlwind of tests, treatments, and uncertainty. Her kindness, knowledge, and unwavering support helped me face my diagnosis with strength and dignity. I truly cannot imagine navigating that journey without her by my side. This commendation is but a small gesture to honor the profound impact she had on my life. Thank you, Lizzy, for being a light in a very dark time. I will always be grateful for the care you gave me — not just as a patient, but as a person.
