From the moment my mom met Elizabeth, it was clear that she genuinely cared for my mom and would take care of her. Elizabeth cared for her over three different days. The quality that stood out the most was the compassion she demonstrated towards my mom. She took the time to talk to her and listen to her stories, even when they were long and repetitive. She always explained what she was doing, which provided my mom with great comfort. When my mom’s breathing became a bit distressed, she acted immediately, thank goodness. Otherwise, I’m not sure how Mom would be doing now. Mom ended up having a pulmonary embolism and fluid on her lungs, but thankfully, Elizabeth didn’t hesitate to seek help. Mom was transferred to the ICU, where she received excellent care. After the transfer, Elizabeth took time to speak with my husband and me to ensure we were doing okay. She has the biggest heart. At the end of this very scary day, Elizabeth again came by after work to check on Mom and me in the ICU. I feel that she embodies everything a nurse should be. I would always choose her to be our family’s nurse. You’ve done an excellent job hiring her and many other wonderful staff members.
