Above and beyond to make a teenager's stay more bearable.  B was admitted to 4D for seizure testing during an impending snow/ice storm. Anxiety was high. Elise stayed for another nurse who lived further away and might get stuck. Elise immediately found common ground - same high school and hometown as B.

Because of schedule changes, lunch was missed, and it was too late to order dinner. Elise to the rescue, getting the meals covered and also snagging some pizza and hot chocolate.  Elise listened to special situational concerns with great compassion, making us feel heard. She made difficult days as a caregiver better. 

Elise related to B. If it would make the stay better, she did it - getting special drinks, making sure medications were correct, laughing about the rubber snake, always asking if there was anything she could do.   

Elise stayed in a hotel to be able to make it to work during the storm. Besides being compassionate, she is very skilled as a nurse. Thank you, Elise.
