Elisabeth Keates, RN

I would like to nominate Elisabeth Keates for the DAISY Award because of the exceptional care I received whilst attending Witney EMU. Beth sat with me whilst I was upset, explained what was happening, and was very reassuring. Beth goes above and beyond to make her patients feel heard and understood, and to put them at ease. It has been both a physically and mentally challenging time, and I was becoming overwhelmed, but Beth made me feel understood and genuinely cared for, never dismissing how I felt and, despite the unit being very busy, always made time to check I was okay.

What made the biggest difference was the way she treated me with empathy rather than just routine care. Her patience is amazing and made me feel safe. Beth made everything feel a little easier; they embody the compassion, understanding, and excellence that the DAISY Award celebrates, and I am truly grateful for the ongoing care being provided.
