I don’t know how one person can be in so many places and do so many things at the same time! I’m so impressed with Elisa’s “can do” attitude and work ethic. Just yesterday, due to staff shortages, she was holding pressure on a patient's hemorrhaging toe and still made it to the nurse clinic meeting. Meanwhile, later that day, she implemented a suggestion for a one-page handout on diabetic foot orders for providers only hours after I suggested this at the meeting. The handout is just what we needed! There have been times as consult doc when I have been overwhelmed with the acuity and complexity of patients, and she seems to show up instantaneously ready to help however she can. She is certainly a treasure. We are lucky to have her at Westminster.
