I was always impressed with the unique energy, thoughtfulness, care, humor, and engagement that Ellie brought to her patients.
I first started working with Eleanor thirty-one years ago on an inpatient oncology unit. I was a nurse tech still in nursing school and Ellie was an RN. As an RN, I worked the evening shift and Ellie was on nights. Most of our patients would return for multiple rounds of chemotherapy and supportive care. On seemingly countless patients, Ellie and I would share the primary/associate role. I was always impressed with the unique energy, thoughtfulness, care, humor, and engagement that Ellie brought to her patients.

Fast forward 31 years to the present day and I continue to be amazed by the SAME unique energy, thoughtfulness, care, humor, and engagement that Ellie continues to bring to her patients and to staff. She continues to seek out new nursing challenges - situations that are clinically and/or emotionally challenging. I really am in awe of her constancy and commitment. It has been my privilege to be a part of her working day for the majority of these past 31 years!

I’ve known Ellie since she used to attend the Infusion LPC. Ellie was always a calm voice of experience and support. As a developing infusion RN, I really appreciated her presence and would love it if she would come back to support our new, new infusion RNs with her kindness and wisdom.
