We were always so thankful when we had Elaine as our nurse because we knew D would be taken care of, because she truly cared about D.
My son, D, was in Kaiser Oakland from October 14, 2024, until March 31, 2025. D was critically sick and required a lot of care. My husband and I were there with him 24/7; we alternated sleeping at the hospital with D. He was never alone. There are so many little things Elaine did to help make our stay as pleasant as could be in the hospital.
She was so kind, compassionate, and dedicated to giving him the best care. She always wanted to make sure that my husband and I had everything we needed. She gave D a nice electric blanket with a beautiful heartfelt card when he left the hospital because he was always so cold. She was always so happy to see D and us. She is an amazing nurse and a lovely person.
There are so many reasons that Elaine deserves recognition. We were always so thankful when we had Elaine as our nurse because we knew D would be taken care of, because she truly cared about D. Sadly, D passed away April 3rd after almost 6 months of battling his illness. We were so blessed to have Elaine there to help us through this sad and emotional journey. We need more nurses like Elaine!
