Edyta is the most amazing nurse I have met. She has profoundly impacted my life as she is the infusion nurse administering chemo that is preventing my cancer from coming back. But it's not only what she is doing, it's how. I chose to stay at UH Geauga because of Edyta. And her compassion, thoughtfulness, kindness, and caring nature. She is patient and family-centered, looking out for our needs. She answers any questions and is such a pleasant person. I have received outstanding care! For example, I don't like IVs. She is great, as I don't feel it when she is putting it in, and she covers my arm, as I don't like to see it. This means a lot to me as a patient. She explained every step and answered my questions. Chemo is scary, but Edyta made me feel comfortable with the process. And along the way, she made me feel comfortable and at ease. She comes in and checks on me during the process and always seems to be there when I need her. Her warm smile and sense of humor are so welcomed while in treatment. Everything went smoothly under Edyta's care. I can't thank her enough for her help and for how she made me feel. I don't look forward to chemo, but I look forward to seeing Edyta, regardless of whether she is my nurse or not, she says hello and brightens the day. If you spend any time with Edyta, you realize she is such an asset to UH and should be nominated for nurse of the year, if you have such a distinction, as she is so wonderful, and I'm thankful she has been part of my treatment.
