My husband was admitted, and on the second day, Dyamond was our nurse. She is exceptional at her job. She always came immediately when we called and remembered to bring nausea meds before any other medications. She searched all over for the proper equipment and supplies for his enteral feeding and the pump. Two nights later, she was once again our nurse. We had a difficult night with nausea and vomiting, and she helped us clean up and searched his chart for any additional medicines that he could have to help, and brought them. She also brought bath cloths and towels for me so that I could freshen up.

I have spent day and night here, and all of our nurses were really wonderful. I am grateful to each of them. I’d love to nominate the entire staff of the third floor. But Dyamond was truly exceptional, and I say that as the mother and grandmother of 4 nurses. I would love to have Dyamond recognized for the job she does. Sometimes nursing requires skills beyond technical knowledge. Her compassion, he willingness to listen to my knowledge of his treatment, and her tolerance of medications and procedures were extremely helpful. She allowed me to tell her the rates to start tube feeding based on my experience with past episodes of his having stopped due to vomiting. Her calm demeanor and ability to improvise despite the limitations we faced due to equipment were truly impressive. Dyamond is an incredible asset to your hospital.
