Donna is exceptional with the work that she does and how she does it.
Donna Cuthill, MSN, APRN, APN-BC, WCC, CWS, a Monmouth Medical Center (MMC) Wound Care Center nurse practitioner who was praised for the exceptional work that she does and how she does it, has been honored with the DAISY Nurse Leader Award, endorsed by The DAISY Foundation.

Donna, who was honored during 2024 as an MMC Employee of the Month, was nominated for the DAISY Award by a patient who shared:

"In February 2025, I got a knee replacement. I thought everything was going OK, but needless to say, I ended up needing to have another surgery. In the meantime, I had fallen and cut my ankle. I have lymphedema, which slows things down from healing, and that actually got infected. I was so scared and so nervous.

From the second that she met me, Donna made me feel at ease, told me that everything was going to work out, and that it might be a slow process, but we’re gonna get through this. I mean, there was a time when I thought I actually might lose my leg. I’ve had three surgeries so far and am waiting for my fourth one for a new knee replacement.

I’ve been on antibiotics throughout the entire year because of the wound on my ankle and getting skin grafts. I just can’t express to you how Donna made me feel at ease through all of them. I have to say, this Clinic is so special. Donna is exceptional with the work that she does and how she does it. I think she should’ve been a doctor, but maybe that wasn’t her calling; every one of them at this Clinic is exceptional with their bedside manner.

I hope you understand how strongly I feel about how special Donna is to me."
