Dom is incredible with the patients and always makes time for them and makes them feel heard, supported, and validated; the same with staff.
Dom is now the manager of Ashurst Ward but I began working with her a few years ago when she was a band 5. I have watched her grow and progress within her job role and also as an individual. Dom goes above and beyond for all the staff and patients on our ward, she is the most empathetic, non-judgemental and supportive person I have ever met. She always has a beaming smile on her face, and no task is too much for her. She never leaves a shift until she is sure that everyone is okay, both staff and patients.

She is always evident on the ward despite being extremely busy with her managerial tasks. Dom is incredible with the patients and always makes time for them and makes them feel heard, supported, and validated; the same with staff. I could go on for days about how much of an impact Dom has had on our team and the patients admitted to the ward, but also for myself. She has supported and pushed me to begin becoming the nurse I hope to be, she has always been there for be during challenging times and is always available if I've ever needed her, whether it's for supervision or if I have a question. She is also extremely knowledgeable and has taught me so many vital qualities I have now gained as a student nurse. I owe her a lot and am extremely grateful for her and all she has done. She has impacted me both professionally and personally, and I wouldn't be where I am today without her unwavering support, guidance, knowledge, and help.

Honoring her with the DAISY Award would be a small token of mine, and I'm sure my team's, recognition. Thanks and gratitude for all she has done for my team, patients, the Trust, and myself. She is one in a million!
