His kindness did not go unnoticed. The world needs more students like him to be kind in such a harsh world.
I had Dominick for Spring I 2026 for OB Clinical. His current term is Spring II 2026 Peds.
Dominick consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, leadership, and the ability to thrive as a student, even in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
One particularly notable experience was his time in a busy Labor and Delivery triage unit. In this setting, Dominick effectively assisted with rapid patient turnover, including preparing and turning over beds, applying tocodynamometer and fetal heart rate monitors, initiating IV access, and collecting laboratory specimens with efficiency and attention to detail.
During this time, he was offered to observe a C-section and helped the nurse recover this patient.
In the same clinical area is the triage area. He saw his fellow classmate struggling to input IVs and I witnessed him utilizing therapeutic communication with his Spanish skills to ease the patient, while helping his peer with the IV insertion by providing words of wisdom as I assisted his peer.
His kindness did not go unnoticed. The world needs more students like him to be kind in such a harsh world.
I am excited for him to be a nurse on the floors.
