Dolores Klinewski, RN

Dolores ("D") has a way of making everyone feel seen, supported, and genuinely cared for. She brings a positive light and a warm, reassuring presence to every shift, creating an environment where both patients and colleagues feel safe and valued. She is always willing to help those around her, making sure her coworkers are cared for just as attentively as her patients.

I have always looked up to D, and I have personally experienced her kindness and advocacy. When I was floated to a particularly busy and unfamiliar unit, she took the initiative to make sure I would not feel alone. This meant a lot to me, to feel seen and cared for. She arranged for our assignments to be near each other and provided support and reassurance during what could have been a very overwhelming experience. That act of thoughtfulness had a lasting impact on me and really shows the type of person D is, someone who lifts up others without hesitation.

She genuinely treats her patients like family, and her extensive nursing knowledge shows in the small, meaningful ways she cares for and advocates for them. She is not only an incredible nurse, but also an inspiring role model. I genuinely look up to her both professionally and personally. She leaves a lasting mark on everyone lucky enough to work with her, and she inspires me to grow and motivates me to be the kind of nurse all patients deserve.

For these reasons, and many more that go unseen, I wholeheartedly believe she is deserving of a DAISY Award.
