I would like to nominate RN Dmitri for the DAISY Award in recognition of the outstanding care he provided during my recent overnight admission for blood transfusions. From the moment he took over my care, Dmitri showed a level of compassion and attentiveness that immediately put me at ease.

Being in the hospital and needing transfusions was overwhelming, but his calm demeanor and reassuring presence made a significant difference. What stood out most was his ability to connect on a human level. His sense of humor and genuine laugh consistently lifted my spirits during a time when I was feeling anxious and vulnerable.

During my first transfusion, I became very concerned that I was having a reaction. Dmitri responded quickly and professionally, taking my concerns seriously while also helping me stay calm. He explained what was happening in a clear and reassuring way, monitored me closely, and never once made me feel dismissed or like I was overreacting. His ability to remain both clinically sharp and emotionally supportive in that moment meant everything to me.

Throughout my stay, Dmitri was attentive, responsive, and proactive in ensuring my comfort and safety. He checked in frequently, anticipated my needs, and made sure I felt supported every step of the way. It is clear that he takes great pride in the care he provides and goes above and beyond for his patients. Dmitri turned what could have been a very stressful and frightening experience into one where I felt safe, heard, and genuinely cared for. I am incredibly grateful for his kindness and dedication, and I strongly believe he is deserving of this recognition.
