Dirceu Achilles, RN
Dirceu is very caring and attentive. Every time I come in for an infusion, he goes the extra mile to make me as comfortable as possible. I am a 72-year-old man who was diagnosed with cancer a bit more than a year ago. I was prescribed a course of medication infusions for a period of several months, followed by periodic infusions, which continue to this day.
Early in my treatment, various nurses at the Holy Cross Health infusion lab cared for me and did a great job; however, about six or eight months ago, Achilles became my regular infusion nurse.
Achilles is amazing. He is always ready for me as soon as I arrive, greeting me with a big smile and a warm hello and making me feel at ease. Sometimes the doctors’ orders are different from the previous time, but he is always on top of things. I've never seen him let anything distract him from his professional demeanor. I am sometimes worried or upset, but he always reassures me and carries out his duties with efficiency and aplomb.
