I am nominating Dianne for the DAISY Award because of her exceptional leadership and dedication to patient care, staff support & unit operations. Recently, during a Rapid Response TEAM (RRT) call, Dianne demonstrated outstanding knowledge and skill with the new Zoll defibrillator and crash cart. The RRT was particularly challenging due to the patient’s limited DNR/DNI orders, yet Dianne stepped in with confidence and expertise. She provided critical support by sharing the patient’s medical history, operating the defibrillator with precision, and administering ACLS medications seamlessly. Her calm & decisive actions were instrumental in ensuring the situation was managed effectively & professionally.

One of Dianne’s most notable contributions is her involvement in CSU education. She led training sessions for all CSU RNs on the new Zoll defibrillator & crash cart. Thanks to her dedication & through training, the dept. has seen a significant improvement in RN performance during a Code Blue situation.
