After only 12 days home from the NICU, my son became ill and was admitted to the pediatric floor, where a code blue was called. Diane was one of the first to respond despite not being on 6th floor. She took charge of the situation and ensured that he regained spontaneous breathing. Throughout the entire ordeal, which felt like an eternity, Diane kept me informed and reassured, providing a sense of calm amidst the chaos. When the decision was made for him to be transferred to Pittsburgh, Diane stayed with us for over four hours, well beyond her scheduled shift. Diane’s expertise, compassion, and dedication are truly remarkable, and she will forever be remembered as my son’s guardian angel. I am so grateful for her exceptional care and the positive impact she had on our family during this challenging time.
